Services included VRF heating and cooling, BMS, solar hot water, LV distribution, advanced lighting systems, power, security, CCTV, door access, fire alarm, EPC, and lifts, with completion expected by Autumn 2018
Kingmoor Park, Carlisle
We supported the phased development of Kingmoor Park, a former MOD site, which involved new industrial units and upgraded utility services in line with the site masterplan. We provided strategy and study reports for enhanced gas, water, power, and telecom services. Following the 2012 completion of the CNDR, we continue to liaise with utility providers, ensuring the development of services for upcoming hotel, food, retail, office, and distribution facilities.
We provided MEP and lift design packages from Stage C/D design tender through construction for a new project targeting an EPC B rating and BREEAM Very Good. The MEP works featured low carbon technologies, including VRF AC, heat recovery systems, LV distribution, advanced lighting, fire alarm, security, CCTV, solar panel pre-heating for hot water, variable drive booster pump sets, and a comprehensive BEMS with sub-metering, all compliant with Building Regulations Part L2A.

GLP Consulting Engineers Ltd provided the MEP design packages on a design and build basis for CAT A tender with construction specification and drawing(s) provided for the respective M&E contractors for the major re-development works to an EPC target B rating.
The MEP works included low carbon technology applications to cover VRF AC and mechanical ventilation systems heat recovery, low energy lighting daylight sensing and localised BEMS with sub-metering to all floor zones in compliance with Building Regulations Part L2A.
