REVIT AND AUTO-CAD

GLP use Autodesk Revit Architecture, which is a robust architectural design and documentation software application created by Autodesk for architects and building professionals. The tools and features that make up Revit Architecture are specifically designed to support building information modelling (BIM) workflows.

AutoCAD is a 2-D and 3-D computer-aided drafting software application used in architecture, construction, and manufacturing to assist in the preparation of blueprints and other engineering plans

MECHANICAL DESIGN

The Mechanical Services requirements of each and every scheme is carefully assessed in terms of design application and economy of system install and operation.

GLP Ltd have specialist independent design and technical experience across the full range of HVAC services covering:-

In addition to the above HVAC services, gas and water services are designed in compliance with the current gas safe safety regulations and water supply regulations respectively.   HVAC controls design is undertaken in association with control systems specialists inclusive of BMS applications.

SUSTAINABLE DESIGN

GLP collaborate with the design team on any given project and advise on the most energy efficient and sustainable mechanical/electrical equipment and technologies on the market.

With GLP being both CIBSE accredited low carbon consultants for design and operation and licensed BREEAM assessors provides an excellent base knowledge of cutting edge sustainable product awareness and design requirements.

GLP can provide a feasibility study for low zero carbon technologies (LZC) and advise on suitability, energy efficiency, emissions, life cycle, available grants and commercial payback.

ENERGY ASSESSMENT

We are accredited low carbon energy assessors.

GLP Ltd Consulting Engineers employ a qualified and accredited CIBSE (Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers), Low Carbon Consultant and Low Carbon Energy Assessor qualified to provide EPC’s (Energy Performance Certificates), DEC’s (Display Energy Certificates) and Air Conditioning Inspection Reports.

EPC’s, DEC’s and Air Conditioning Inspections introduced in 2008 form a part of the UK implementation of the european directives 2002/911/EC and promote the improvement of the energy performance of buildings.

GLP Ltd have undertaken a considerable number of EPC’s, DEC’s and Air Conditioning Inspection Reports since accreditation in 2009.  Air Conditioning Inspection Reports have been provided for:

• The Lowry Arts Centre, Salford Quays

• The National Army Museum, Chelsea

• Leyland Trucks

and several London West End landmark properties amongst the many commissions obtained.

MAINTENCE MONITORING

GLP offer a concise M&E maintenance specification, tendering and/or monitoring service.

All M&E equipment within any given building is surveyed to provide an asset register and incorporated in PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) tender contract documentation.

Competitive tenders are sought from reputable M&E maintenance contractors following which GLP provide a concise tender appraisal and recommendation to the customer/end user.

Once the contractor is successfully appointed GLP attend site on a quarterly basis meeting with the contractor and or customer to ensure PPM activities set out in the documentation are in compliance and logbooks are audited on a six-monthly basis.

Following the quarterly visit GLP provide a report/log book review to advise on log book certification status and outstanding quotations, defective equipment and contractor performance.
