TURNER HOUSE, LONDON.

GLP are providing a full M & E design service with modern LED lighting/control and full VRF heating & Cooling and also carried out the EPC and BREEAM assessment to a very good rating.

The building is set to become the new headquarters of international drinks group Diageo, which is moving from Park Royal to the West End in spring 2021.

The drinks group Diageo said: “The new building will undergo a complete refurbishment and in keeping with the company’s ambition to become one of the most inclusive employers in the world, Diageo’s employees will be involved in the design of their new workspace, blending the latest in smart-working technology into an environment supportive of better collaboration for teams and partners.

GREATER LONDON HOUSE

£10M refurbishment of Greater London House, London

‘GLP have provided a detailed design service from conception until the completion envisaged Autumn 2018. The building has presented many demands which included retaining much of the original character. The building was formally the recently vacated Debenhams UK Headquarters.

KINGMOOR PARK PROPERTIES, CARLISLE.

DEVELOPMENT FROM AN MOD SITE TO COMMERCIAL PROPERTY

Development has been phased over many years with the construction of new industrial units and re-development of existing site utility services have been replaced and extended in accordance with the site masterplan. GLP Consulting Engineers Ltd provided a strategy and study report for the increased provision of gas, water, power and telecoms utility services across the Kingmoor Park sites.
The CNDR (Carlisle North Development Road) was completed in 2012 which runs through the Kingmoor Park site from the M6 and GLP Consulting Engineers Ltd continue to provide technical services in liaison with the utility providers to ensure the staged development of utility services for the Kingmoor Park hub which will accommodate new hotel, food, retail, office and distribution facilities.
 
GLP Consulting Engineers Ltd have previously worked for the same client on similar industrial development sites in Stockport, Leigh and Wrexham.

PREMIER INN, LONDON SOUTHGATE.

GLP Consulting Engineers Ltd provided the MEP and lift design packages on a traditional basis from Stage C/D design tender and construction specification and drawing(s) for the new construction works to an EPC target B rating and BREEAM Very Good as an integral planning requirement.

The MEP works included low carbon technology applications to cover VRF AC and mechanical ventilation systems heat recovery, LV distribution, T5 fluorescent/LED lighting daylight linked, fire alarm, security/CCTV, comms solar panel pre-heating of the hot water supply, variable drive booster pump sets on the water supply and a full BEMS with sub-metering to all plant and floor zones in compliance with Building Regulations Part L2A.

GLP Consulting Engineers Ltd are providing the MEP CAT B design package on a traditional basis from CAT B tender and construction specification and drawing(s) for the fit-out of new offices.

The MEP works included low carbon technology applications to cover use of the landlords base HVAC systems on 4-pipe fan-coil units and mechanical ventilation c/w VRF AC and local supplementary mechanical ventilation systems with LED feature lighting and IT/AV systems liaison and provision.

GLP Consulting Engineers Ltd provided the MEP design packages on a design and build basis for CAT A tender with construction specification and drawing(s) provided for the respective M&E contractors for the major re-development works to an EPC target B rating.

The MEP works included low carbon technology applications to cover VRF AC and mechanical ventilation systems heat recovery, low energy lighting daylight sensing and localised BEMS with sub-metering to all floor zones in compliance with Building Regulations Part L2A.

£25M REFURBISHMENT OF 82 BAKER STREET, LONDON

Working alongside both Forme and  Marks Barfield Architects, GLP have been integral to the design team on 82 Baker Street, London from concept in 2011 to completion in 2015.

Originally the home for Marks & Spencer’s UK Headquarters back in the 1930′s, the building has undergone an impressive transformation whilst providing a challenge in that many of it’s original features had to be retained.

The MEP works included low carbon technology applications to cover VRF AC and mechanical ventilation systems heat recovery, T5 fluorescent/LED lighting daylight linked, solar panel pre-heating of the hot water supply, variable drive booster pump sets on the water supply and a full BEMS with sub-metering to all plant and floor zones in compliance with Building Regulations Part L2A.

The project also has 24no. Residential MBA and 1no. retail unit with SAP and CfSH requirements.

A specific challenge the project presents is to move/relocate two main UKPN sub-stations from Basement to Ground Floor.
